I vowed that I would never allow my blog to become an obituaries column, but circumstances have forced me to break that vow...
Those who know me know that I am a collossal nerd. Those who don't... well, you do now, don't you. Therefore, I shall forgoe the usual vehement denials that I "Just watch it and am not a trekkie. Really.".
Enterprise has been cancelled. And before the litanies of "But it really sucked!" and "I never watched it anyways" are even uttered, I shall counter them here and now.
While it was true that the show did indeed suck *and* blow when it first aired, such was no longer the case this season. The writing was excellent, and the obligatory UPN T&A flauntings had been put on the back burner. The show was finally living up to it's promise of a prequel, dammit! They're even showing a GORN, for crying out loud! You know a show is getting better when they're hearkening back to the days of men in rubber lizard masks! Garrh...
As for the "I never watched it anyways" argument... well, my indignation shall only be directed at those who enjoyed trek's previous incarnations, yet never gave the show a fighting chance. Come on guys! Did you find no comfort in the knowledge that no matter how old you were, Star Trek would always be there? Well, it's not anymore. Shame on you all.
The realization that for the first time in my life there won't be Star Trek is going to take a little getting used to... It was bad enough that Charles Schulz died... but Star Trek too? Curse you God.o

Neale: RIP. We hardly knew Enterprise. Now, we never will. And there will be no new Star Trek on television. Very strange and depressing.
*tries and fails to hide her giggles* I'm sorry that you guys no longer have your show to watch, I know you liked it, Llowyn.
I vote you continue with the "Life of Llowyn" series you started so long ago but discontinued. I liked it. Except the part about your parents and sex. That's gross. Especialy now that I've hugged one. :p
I miss the good old days of endless original series reruns. Watching Kirk almost invariably sedce a love interest & get into a fistfight in every episode had a constancy I like. That & Spock. but I willn't say more.
Happy Valentine's Day, Llowyn. I love you :D
AAHHHH, Trouble With Tribbles. Surely the masterpeice of Star Trek.
Continuing on with that vein of thought, I liked the movies better than the actual TV shows, EXCEPT for Voyager. And I ADORE Data. whom my boyfriend has met.
HAH! I have cheaply raised your comment count! Once again, I have proved I am your sugar daddy! Too bad you don't give me sex. Oh well, I spose chocolate, and magic displays will have to do.
